Do you design as well as print for other designers?
We LOVE to print for other designers, agencies and also individuals. In addition to being a letterpress print shop, we are a design studio, so let us know if you need help with your project.

How can I get an estimate for my project?
Please send the specifications for your project, including quantities, dimensions of each piece, number of inks per side and any special treatments to info@pressed55.com. If you have a .pdf of your working artwork, send that along for a more accurate estimate.

Do you have minimum quantities?
We don’t have minimum quantities (we can run from 1 piece to a nearly infinite quantity) but we do have a project minimum of $500.00.

How fast can I get my goods?
We generally work under a 10-business day turn time from the receipt of press ready digital files. This may vary depending on the complexity of your project.

What kind of art works best with letterpress?

What kind of files do you need?
Ideally we need vector art created with Adobe Illustrator or InDesign or a PDF. Please download our easy to use templates!

I really like small type. What is the smallest font size you can print?
We like to keep all type 6 point or above, but we can go a little smaller as long as the line weight is .25 or greater

Can you print a flood of color?
We can print large areas of color, but expect to see a mottled (or salty) appearance to the coverage. If you would like to knock out white type, please send us your working artwork for a consultation prior to getting client sign-off.

What kind of paper works best?
We prefer to print on paper that has a softer surface for the best letterpress impression, and we can only print on uncoated stocks. We especially like cotton stocks for the beautiful sculptural effect we can achieve.

What is the largest and smallest size you can run?
We can print on a sheet as large as 13″ x 22″ and as small as 1″x1″.

Can I have print on both sides?
Yes you can, but be aware that depending on the thickness of the paper, you could very well see the impression of the artwork on the back side of the sheet. We can advise you as the best thickness of paper for your artwork.
